Biting into one of these soft chewy cookies peanut butter covered with a Hershey kiss and you're always hooked! The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is a classic because it combines two perfect flavors in a charming flavor experience. This cookie looks like a simple concept - only when removing peanut butter cookies from the oven, place a Hershey kiss in the center.
These cookies were named "Peanut Blossom cookies" by Freda Smith who invented. Freda them entered into the Pillsbury bakeoff in 1957 - and she did not win! The recipe, however, subsequently printed in Hershey Kisses bags and is now part of the file of recipes from around the world. (The winner that year was a cookie called Accordion Treats - Have you heard of them)
Can you believe that Hershey Kiss (original milk chocolate) has been around since 1907? It is hard to believe that people have been enjoying them for 106 years!
